silvertree art is the creative home of CORNWALL based multi-media artist Mark Donoghue

Mark’s work offers abstract and alternative interpretations of ordinary scenes, ranging from the raw power and beauty of the Cornish coastline to the intricate inner landscapes of human experience.

Mark’s process is defined by texture and contrast. Working primarily in acrylic and oils, he builds tactile surfaces that he often disrupts with the use of spray paints which brings a sharp energy to a piece. This layering reflects the variations he finds in the world around him: the chaotic and the calm, the external and internal view.

"My family and I have called Cornwall home for well over a decade, every day I’m finding new inspiration and beauty in the unpredictable landscapes and people around me. To be able to pause, to really observe, and then create something new from that moment is something i will never tire of."
